Baseball Recap: Barron Comes Up Short

Barron entered their contest against Ashland on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Golden Bears lost 13-5 to the Oredockers. The Golden Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Oredockers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Barron saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braydon Roberts, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Barron's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Ashland, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Barron is set to face off against their familiar foe Spooner at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ashland will square off against rival St. Croix Falls at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
