Soccer Game Preview: Memphis East vs. Sheffield

The Memphis East Mustangs will square off against the Sheffield Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Memphis East is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Middle College get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory was nothing new for Memphis East as they're now sitting on four straight.

They hit Middle College with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Devin Drinkwater (2), John Nunez, Noah Parker, and Randy Butler.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sheffield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Freedom Prep Academy with a sharp 5-0 win on Tuesday. Sheffield haven't had any issues with Freedom Prep Academy recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Memphis East's win bumped their record up to 12-2-2. As for Sheffield, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Everything went Memphis East's way against Sheffield in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Memphis East made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
