Basketball Recap: Horizon Comes Up Short

Horizon lost against Campo Verde back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Horizon Huskies were outmatched by the Campo Verde Coyotes and fell 75-44. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.

Horizon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alex Rodriguez, who posted four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Henss, who earned six points and six boards.

Horizon has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Campo Verde, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Horizon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-53 victory against Arizona College Prep on the 27th. As for Campo Verde, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-64 win against Desert Mountain on the 27th.
