Softball Recap: Ocean Lakes Comes Up Short

Ocean Lakes made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kellam, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Dolphins fell just short of the Knights by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Dolphins in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost eight in a row.

Ocean Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Kellam, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocean Lakes will head out to challenge Deep Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kellam, they will square off against Grassfield at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 2, the Grizzlies 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
