Basketball Game Preview: Neumann Celtics vs. Naples Golden Eagles

The Neumann Celtics will take on the Naples Golden Eagles in a tournament on Friday. Neumann is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Neumann saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They walked away with a 42-32 victory over Barron Collier.

Neumann got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mylee Van De Wouw out in front who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. Van De Wouw is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Angelina Insana was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Neumann was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Naples came up short against Barron Collier on Wednesday and fell 51-43. The loss was the Golden Eagles' first of the season.

Neumann's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Naples, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Neumann strolled past Naples when the teams last played back in November of 2023 by a score of 60-41. Will the Celtics repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
