Recap: Green Meadow Waldorf Warriors vs. Varsity Opponent

The Green Meadow Waldorf Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 68-58 to Varsity Opponent. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (55), Green Meadow Waldorf still had to take the loss.

Green Meadow Waldorf's loss came despite strong showings from Ben Vaterlaus and Nathan Cooper. Vaterlaus scored 25 points, while Cooper scored 21 points. Vaterlaus scored a full 43.1% of Green Meadow Waldorf's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

More embarrasing are the teams that make up that slump in performance: Varsity Opponent, they, and they. As for they, their win ended a 15-game drought on the road and puts them at 143-530-5.

Green Meadow Waldorf won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Montfort Academy at 4:30 p.m. on December 14th. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against International Studies at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
