Carlsbad came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Helix Highlanders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lancers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Carlsbad was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-15.

Carlsbad's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Helix, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Carlsbad has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against La Jolla Country Day on the 11th. As for Helix, they will take on Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
