Recap: Lassiter Trojans vs. Walton Raiders
The Lassiter Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They greeted the New Year with with a 64-50 win over Walton. Winning may never get old, but Lassiter sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Lassiter to victory were Aidyn Davis and Jaden Emmanuelli. Davis scored 13 points along with seven rebounds, while Emmanuelli scored 23 points along with four steals. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Venuti, who scored five points.
Lassiter is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Walton, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-3.
Lassiter will head out on the road to face off against Sprayberry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sprayberry is on a five-game streak of home wins, Lassiter a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Walton will take on Cherokee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cherokee has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 471 points over their last seven games.
