Basketball Recap: Cayden Quinn's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Denver Waldorf over Front Range Baptist

Denver Waldorf has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 55-45 to the Front Range Baptist Falcons on Friday. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 59-50 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Denver Waldorf's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cayden Quinn, who posted 24 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Quinn is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Seth Carr, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

Front Range Baptist got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Benjamin VanDenBerghe out in front who went 7 for 17 to rack up 19 points and seven boards. Rohan Galyardt also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Denver Waldorf's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Front Range Baptist, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
