Volleyball Preview: Kalama Chinooks vs. La Center Wildcats

Kalama and La Center are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Kalama Chinooks will venture away from home to square off against the La Center Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Saturday, everything went Kalama's way against Elma as Kalama made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chinooks.

Meanwhile, La Center came tearing into Thursday's match with 16 straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Knights 3-0.

La Center walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-21.

La Center kept the net locked down and finished the game with 18 blocks. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as King's Way Christian only had two.

Kalama is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for La Center, their victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1.
