Football Recap: Pardeeville Comes Up Short

Pardeeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Markesan Hornets. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Pardeeville's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Markesan, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pardeeville is set to face off against their familiar foe Deerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Markesan will square off against rival Cambridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hornets 13.9, the Bluejays 7.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
