The third road game was the charm for Stroudsburg, as they earned their first away win of the season. They snuck past the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals with a 40-34 victory on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mountaineers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Triano, who picked up 97 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards. Another passer making a difference was Ceejay Serfass, who threw for 208 yards and four TDs.

Stroudsburg moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Pocono Mountain East, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Stroudsburg and Pocono Mountain East could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Mountaineers (ranked 233rd) will meet Easton Area (ranked 19th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pocono Mountain East will square off against Bethlehem Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (364 vs. 64).
