Recap: Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers vs. Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers
The Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Sunday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 70-46 walloping at the hands of Berlin Brothersvalley. Steelton-Highspire was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.
Leading Berlin Brothersvalley to victory were Pace Prosser and Craig Jarvis. Prosser scored 22 points along with eight assists and six rebounds, while Jarvis shot 6-for-11 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds. Prosser is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Haydon Hutzell, who scored six points.
This is the second loss in a row for Steelton-Highspire and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Steelton-Highspire on the road again on Wednesday and play against Susquehanna Township at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Susquehanna Township is ranked 338th, while Steelton-Highspire is ranked 351st). As for Berlin Brothersvalley, Berlin Brothersvalley and North Star will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Star is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
