Raton came tearing into Thursday's contest with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Estancia Bears by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 11th.

Raton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-13, 23-25, 25-16.

Paige Lemons paced Raton's offense, picking up 18 kills. Lemons got some help from Addison Medina and her 37 assists. Tess Chatterley controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Raton's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Estancia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Raton will square off against rival Tucumcari at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Estancia is set to face off against their familiar foe Santa Rosa at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
