Volleyball Recap: Skidmore-Tynan Comes Up Short

Skidmore-Tynan's tournament run continued when they took on Veterans Memorial on Thursday. The Bobcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Skidmore-Tynan may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 16 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Itzel Parra, who had 12 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Skidmore-Tynan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Veterans Memorial, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Skidmore-Tynan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against IDEA Frontier College Prep on the 21st. As for Veterans Memorial, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Edcouch-Elsa on the 21st.
