Basketball Game Preview: Harper Longhorns vs. San Saba Armadillos

Harper hasn't had much luck against San Saba recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Harper Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the San Saba Armadillos at 7:30 p.m. San Saba took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Harper, who comes in off a win.

Harper is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Center Point for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-14 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-8.

Meanwhile, San Saba was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 35-31 to Junction.

Harper is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. As for San Saba, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-9.

Harper didn't have too much breathing room in their game against San Saba in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory. Does Harper have another victory up their sleeve, or will San Saba turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
