Soccer Game Preview: Monterey vs. Alisal

The Monterey Dores will head out on the road to challenge the Alisal Trojans at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Monterey's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Seaside as Monterey made off with a 4-0 victory. That four goal margin sets a new team best for the Dores this season.

Meanwhile, Alisal hasn't lost a match since January 3rd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged North Salinas out 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Trojans were the better team in the second half.

The win made it two in a row for Monterey and bumps their season record up to 9-3-3. As for Alisal, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3-5.
