Basketball Recap: Burroughs Starts Season with Victory at Home

Burroughs took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They really took it to the Ladue Horton Watkins Rams for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-40 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Bombers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row dating back to last season.

Burroughs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Moriyah Douglass, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Douglass' third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Daylin Douglas, who went 7-for-13 on her way to 18 points and four steals.

Burroughs will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against University City at 5:00 p.m. on December 3. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Cor Jesu Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
