Preview: Mars Fightin' Planets vs. North Hills Indians
The Mars Fightin' Planets will head out on the road to take on the North Hills Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Mars suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 69-48 loss at the hands of Montour. While losing is never fun, Mars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Montour is ranked 20th).
Ryan Ceh put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Austen Wroblewski, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, even though Penn-Trafford scored an imposing 72 points on Tuesday, North Hills still came out on top. North Hills managed a 78-72 win over Penn-Trafford. 78 seems to be a good number for North Hills as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
This is the second loss in a row for Mars and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for North Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.
Mars was able to grind out a solid victory over North Hills when the teams last played on January 2nd, winning 85-73. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
