Volleyball Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

Gilmer lost against Southeast Whitfield County back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats fell 2-0 to the Raiders.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Southeast Whitfield County scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21.

Gilmer's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-22. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-19 record this season.

Gilmer will head out to face off against Northwest Whitfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Dalton Academy on the 2nd.
