Preview: Cross Trojans vs. Military Magnet Academy Eagles
The Cross Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Military Magnet Academy Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Cross entered their tilt with St. John's with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Cross walked away with a 56-43 win over St. John's on Friday.
Cross found their leader in underclassman Caden Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Ramsey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominick Lampkin, who scored 16 points.
Military Magnet Academy posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Baptist Hill 60-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Military Magnet Academy.
Cross has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Military Magnet Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.
Cross was able to grind out a solid win over Military Magnet Academy when the teams last played on January 5th, winning 53-46. Will Cross repeat their success, or does Military Magnet Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
