Volleyball Recap: Risco Find Success

Risco won the last time they faced North Pemiscot and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Risco walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 21-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Leighton Calvert was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 18 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Despite the loss, North Pemiscot still got an impressive performance from Cheyanne Sawyer, who had 34 assists and 14 digs. Sawyer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Miley McCulloch, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Risco's victory bumped their record up to 18-9-2. As for North Pemiscot, their defeat ended a seven-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-8-2.

Risco wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Gideon on the 9th. North Pemiscot has also already played their next match (against Campbell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
