Volleyball Recap: Raines Takes a Loss

Raines lost against Andrew Jackson back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Tigers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 23-25, 25-5.

Alayna Brewer was nothing short of spectacular for Andrew Jackson: she had 14 aces, seven kills, and five blocks. Davita Kelly was another key player, getting eight assists and four aces.

Raines' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Andrew Jackson, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, Raines and First Coast will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrew Jackson, they will face off against Englewood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
