Baseball Game Preview: Derry Trojans vs. Knoch Knights

For the second straight game, Derry will face off against Knoch. The Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Derry has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Derry's last matchup with Knoch could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Trojans lost 13-1 to the Knights. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Max Doherty was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Knoch and bumps their season record up to 14-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Derry, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
