Softball Recap: Teutopolis Takes a Loss

Teutopolis lost against Tuscola back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wooden Shoes might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-4 to the Warriors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wooden Shoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Malea Helmink was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season.

Teutopolis' record is now 7-7. As for Tuscola, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Teutopolis will face off against Marshall at 12:10 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tuscola, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sullivan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
