Volleyball Recap: Murray Takes a Loss

Murray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain Crest Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Friday.

Leading Mountain Crest to victory were Ella Malm and Jordan Belles. Malm had eight digs and three aces, while Belles had 12 digs and one assist.

Murray's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Mountain Crest, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Murray didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against West Jordan on the 5th. As for Mountain Crest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Weber on the 5th.
