Recap: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. Lithonia Bulldogs
This season hasn't been kind to the Dunwoody Wildcats, who are still winless after their tenth match. They fell just short of Lithonia by a score of 46-43.
Dunwoody's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Brinson, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Brinson scored a full 32.6% of Dunwoody's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Michael, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 steals.
Dunwoody's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Lithonia, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunwoody will take on Riverwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dunwoody in Georgia (Riverwood is ranked 183rd, while Dunwoody is ranked 497th). Lithonia is on the road again on Friday and play against Chamblee at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Chamblee will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
