Billingsley was led to victory by Derrica Motley and Alana Jones. Motley scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Jones dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. The game was Motley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaliyah McCary, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Billingsley pushed their record up to 5-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Dallas County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Billingsley will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Notasulga at 5:00 p.m. As for Dallas County, they will head out on the road to face off against Booker T. Washington Magnet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Booker T. Washington Magnet comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
