The Billingsley Bears entered their tilt with the Dallas County Hornets with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Billingsley ended the year with a bang, routing Dallas County 46-20. That 46-20 margin sets a new team best for Billingsley this season.
Billingsley was led to victory by Derrica Motley and Alana Jones. Motley scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Jones dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. The game was Motley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaliyah McCary, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Billingsley pushed their record up to 5-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Dallas County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Billingsley will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Notasulga at 5:00 p.m. As for Dallas County, they will head out on the road to face off against Booker T. Washington Magnet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Booker T. Washington Magnet comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
