Baseball Recap: Winchester Community Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

Winchester Community won the last time they faced Adams Central and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Golden Falcons came out on top against the Flying Jets by a score of 10-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Falcons.

Landen Porfidio made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Porfidio wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jace Allen, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double. That double was Allen's first of the season. Another was Tre Weist, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
