Basketball Game Preview: Hillsdale Hornets vs. Hudson Tigers

The Hillsdale Hornets will take on the Hudson Tigers in a tournament on Friday. Hillsdale knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Hudson likes a good challenge.

Hillsdale saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They managed a 58-52 win over Jonesville.

Meanwhile, Hudson had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 54-53 W against the Panthers.

Hudson found their leader in sophomore Qwaden Wallace, who posted 24 points. That's the most points Wallace has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac St. John, who scored 11 points.

Hillsdale's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Hudson, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Hillsdale came up short against Hudson in their previous meeting back in January, falling 62-55. Can Hillsdale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
