Lewisburg has gone a perfect 4-0 against Lafayette recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lewisburg Patriots will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Lafayette Commodores at 6:30 p.m. Lewisburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Lewisburg is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since February 21, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Madison Central by a score of 9-7. The loss was the Patriots' first of the season.

Anna Etter and Leona-Klaire Stokes stepped up to the plate in a big way. Etter scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Stokes scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Stokes has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Johnson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Lafayette got themselves on the board against Independence on Friday, but Independence never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Wildcats as they made off with an 18-0 victory. The Commodores haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Sydney Cregar was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Mary Madison Kelley and Avery Lewis did most of the damage at the plate: Kelley went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI, while Lewis scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Jenny Dreher was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lewisburg fell to 3-1. As for Lafayette, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
