Softball Recap: Rosa Fort Comes Up Short

Rosa Fort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 36-12 to the West Bolivar Eagles.

Keanah Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Tykeria Armstrong was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases.

Rosa Fort's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for West Bolivar, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Rosa Fort Lions take on Independence Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Independence will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rosa Fort surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Bolivar, they will host Leland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
