Soccer Recap: Cornerstone Charter Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Charter lost against Triad Math and Science Academy on October 1st and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals lost 5-2 to the Bengals. That's two games in a row now that Cornerstone Charter have lost by exactly three goals.

Landon Leclerc wasn't going to let Triad Math and Science Academy walk away unscathed as he scored both of Cornerstone Charter's goals, bringing his season total up to nine goals.

Cornerstone Charter's loss dropped their record down to 6-9-5. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4-3.

Cornerstone Charter are facing Phoenix Academy at the right time seeing as Phoenix Academy are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Piedmont Classical at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Triad Math and Science Academy will be up against Piedmont Classical's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.91 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
