Baseball Recap: Genesee Takes a Loss

Genesee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-4 to the Kendrick Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Tuesday.

Genesee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Bollman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Bollman is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 1-8-1 when he doesn't).

Genesee's loss dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Kendrick, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Genesee is set to challenge their familiar foe Clearwater Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Kendrick will face off against rival Potlatch at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are on an 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Loggers a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
