Baseball Game Preview: Milano Eagles vs. Burton Panthers

The Milano Eagles will face off against the Burton Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Milano faced off against Snook on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Bluejays 17-2. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Milano got a massive performance out of Andres Ruelas, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave Ruelas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Wall, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Ruelas wasn't the only one making solid contact: Milano kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Snook only managed three hits.

Meanwhile, while Burton put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Somerville. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Yeguas. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Milano's win bumped their record up to 11-7-1. As for Burton, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Milano suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Burton in their previous matchup back in February of 2017. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
