Volleyball Recap: Eastridge's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastridge can now relate to. They came up short against the Sutherland Knights on Saturday, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Lancers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Among those leading the charge was Jamie Kotalik, who had 13 digs and two assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Eastridge moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak. As for Sutherland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 28 of their last 29 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 38-2-2 record this season.

Eastridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Pittsford on the 8th. As for Sutherland, after both having extra time off, they and Williamsville South will shake off the rust and duke it out at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
