It's playoff time, and Connetquot had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Ward Melville Patriots 3-0 on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the T-Birds, who have now won 16 matchups in a row.

Connetquot not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Ward Melville between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-18.

Elena Carro was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and two aces.

Carro wasn't the only good servers: Connetquot was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive matches.

Connetquot's win bumped their record up to 27-2-1. As for Ward Melville, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Connetquot and Bay Shore will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ward Melville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
