Springfield strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Hayfield Vikings. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Ludewig, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run was his first of the season. Noah Neperman was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4.

Springfield's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Hayfield, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will challenge Lester Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hayfield, they will take on New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
