Recap: Bloomfield Bees vs. Wakefield Trojans
The Bloomfield Bees pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wakefield. Bloomfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Bloomfield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Madison Abbenhaus. Despite the final result, she scored 29 points. Abbenhaus scored a full 49.2% of Bloomfield's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Lauck, who scored ten points.
Bloomfield's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for Wakefield, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Bloomfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Osmond/Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Osmond/Randolph is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Wakefield, they will head out on the road to face off against Stanton on Friday. Hopefully Stanton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Thursday.
