Softball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Belgreen Bulldogs.

Aubrey Machen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one stolen base.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 23-17-1. As for Belgreen, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-12.

Coming up, Lincoln will face off against Pell City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belgreen has already played their next match (against Madison County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
