There's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Deer Valley Wolverines 9-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won six in a row.

Colby Walters tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Stevie Wellens, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Rane Miller was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Liberty hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deer Valley struck out seven times.
