Baseball Recap: MMI Preparatory School vs. Lake-Lehman Knights

If MMI Preparatory School was feeling good off their 16-2 takedown of Notre Dame on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. MMI Preparatory School fell just short of the Lake-Lehman Knights by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to MMI Preparatory School of the 18-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Andrew Burns put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Burns was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MMI Preparatory School will take on Weatherly at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake-Lehman, they will head out on the road to face off against Wyoming Area at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Lake-Lehman has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
