Baseball Recap: Pomona Takes a Loss

Pomona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Ganesha Giants. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Giants this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Pomona saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Cruz, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Pomona's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Ganesha, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

While Pomona had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
