Softball Game Preview: Berkeley Stags vs. West Florence Knights

The Berkeley Stags will head out to challenge the West Florence Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Berkeley 3.4, West Florence 0.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Berkeley proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against White Knoll, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Stags have posted since March 27th.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and West Florence had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let Lucy Beckham get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Monday. The Knights are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 21 straight.

West Florence's victory bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Berkeley, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.
