Basketball Recap: Hernando Takes a Loss

If Hernando was riding high fresh off their 47-23 takedown of Lewisburg on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took a blow against the DeSoto Central Jaguars on Friday, falling 53-15. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since January 29, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Hernando dropped their record down to 4-15 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for DeSoto Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hernando is set to square off against their familiar foe Horn Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, DeSoto Central will challenge rival Lewisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
