Volleyball Recap: Pioneer Comes Up Short

Pioneer came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Saline Hornets, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pioneers have suffered since October 22, 2024.

While Pioneer had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-18.

The defeat snapped Pioneer's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record. As for Saline, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

After both having extra time off, Pioneer and Monroe will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saline, they will face off against Goodrich at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
