Alice came into Friday's   contest looking for another win against Tuloso-Midway, but  Damian Figueroa wouldn't allow it. The Warriors & Cherokees put the hurt on the Coyotes with a sharp  28-7 win on Friday for which the team can thank  Figueroa, who rushed for 201 yards and four  TDs while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 52 yards.
 One reason for the win was Tuloso-Midway's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks.  Ayden Gilchrist was especially locked on to Alice's QB and sacked him twice. Tuloso-Midway got some further help from  Jaython Ayala: he picked up  a  sack and made 13 total tackles (5.0 for loss).
Tuloso-Midway's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Alice, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Tuloso-Midway and Alice will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Warriors & Cherokees will  face off against  rival Hidalgo Early College  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Alice is set to  take on  their familiar foe Pioneer  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
