Recap: Fossil Ridge vs. Keller Central
The Fossil Ridge Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 8-0 defeat at the hands of Keller Central. While losing is never fun, Fossil Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 436th, while Keller Central is ranked 82nd).
Fossil Ridge's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9-1. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored zero goals over those four matches. As for Keller Central, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1.
Fossil Ridge will be playing at home against Southlake Carroll at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fossil Ridge's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Keller Central, they will head out on the road to take on Timber Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
