Soccer Game Preview: Minden vs. Franklin Parish

For the first time this season, Minden will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to square off against the Franklin Parish Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Minden fell victim to West Ouachita and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Chiefs, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Franklin Parish also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 13-0 to Ouachita Parish on Monday. Franklin Parish haven't had much luck with Ouachita Parish recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Minden's loss dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Franklin Parish, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything went Minden's way against Franklin Parish in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Minden made off with a 5-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crimson Tide since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
