Baseball Recap: Northlake Christian Find Success

Northlake Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Metairie Park Country Day on Friday. The Wolverines never let the Cajuns get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Wolverines not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 17th.

Cade Christner looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Northlake Christian's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 5-1-1 (and 9-13 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke McAdams, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Northlake Christian is undefeated when McAdams posts two or more runs, but 9-14-1 otherwise. Trace Crane was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

The win got Northlake Christian back to even at 14-14-1. As for Metairie Park Country Day, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Coming up, Northlake Christian will take on Springfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Metairie Park Country Day, they will be playing at home against Haynes Academy at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.
